If you know me, you know that there’s something I really love about business suits. I can’t quite explain why I love them so much.
There’s a certain way they frame a figure—long lines and sharp edges—that I visually enjoy. And then there are the colors and the ties and the shirts.
I like suits on everyone. It’s probably why I ended up writing business romances. It gives me an excuse to look at business suits and then imagine them being peeled off and ending up on a floor somewhere.
Not that this has ever happened in any of my books. Who am I kidding—this happens in all my books!
There’s also a certain amount of power inherent in suits—and in a book, that power can be undermined and stripped off, just like the suit can. And that’s always fun for the writer and the reader.
Tumblr has been a great outlet for my interest in suits. My favorite blogs are:
I’ve also been binge-watching White Collar, which had six seasons of Matt Bromer in suits. It’s kind of like living in suit heaven for a while.
Yes, I do own a few suits of my own. I want more, but they are an investment!
In case you’re wondering, Men’s Warehouse will fit you into a suit, regardless of gender, so if you’re pondering a suit and aren’t typically male… you can still get one fitted without any issues at all.

Anna Zabo writes contemporary and paranormal romance for all colors of the rainbow. She lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which isn’t nearly as boring as most people think.
With a penchant for suits and ties both on herself and others, she enjoys coffee, tea, good books, and fine wine—as well as the best diner fare and pies made with lemon. Give her a Ruben, and she’s happy.
She fell in with a roving band of romance writers at Seton Hill University, earned and MFA in Writing Popular Fiction and never looked back. She also has a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
Thank you Anna for Stopping by and we will see you next month – Can’t wait to see what goodies you bring us!
