From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Nicole Williams:
Cora Matthews grew up with the Adams’ boys, twin brothers and best friends who wouldn’t let anything come between them—except for her. One of them became her best friend; the other, her fiancé.
She always knew she’d wind up marrying one of them, and Jacob Adams is the epitome of Mister Right. At least until he fails to show up for their wedding.
As Jacob’s best man, and identical twin, Matt makes a split-second decision that will affect the three of their lives forever—he steps in to take his brother’s place. In front of the altar, exchanging vows with the woman he’s secretly been in love with for years.
But Cora finds out about the groom swap. The morning after the wedding. As if realizing she just slept with her fiancé’s brother isn’t disturbing enough, she’s forced to confront the feelings for Matt Adams she thought she’d buried years ago.
Through the course of her real honeymoon with her fake husband, she uncovers truths both Adams brothers were hoping to keep hidden, for opposite reasons. One to protect himself, the other to protect her.
She married the wrong brother, but what if he’s been the right one all along?
I have been following Nicole Williams since she wrote Crash, Clash, and Crush. I loved those books to pieces.I loved this book as well. It is well written and the flow was good. Oh and don’t get me started on the premise. Good times and bad times. I read it in one go as I could not put it down. It kept me up way past my bedtime. Good job Nicole. I needed to know what was going to happen next. There was drama and angst. It was wild messy and so very dysfunctional and I loved every damn moment of it. From page one when we meet Matt and his internal monolog, I knew I was going to like him. This book is in both points of view so we get to see inside both their minds and what they are thinking.
I read the synopsis and I had to jump on this book. Hot, sexy, alpha males and twins to boot. So that’s two hot men not just one, with unrequited love so that was a no-brainer read for me. I am so very pleased I did. I was up and down with emotions. Right out from the start you are rooting and you know you shouldn’t, but you just have to. You know, you just know it is going to end badly for someone, and again you’re rooting you just can’t help it.
Matt what can I say, I loved him. He is the identical twin of Jacob and they are not told apart easily. Jacob is the groom, getting married to Matt’s best friend Cora. They have all been friends forever. So when Matt takes the place of his brother at the wedding, to the only woman he has ever loved, let’s just say the drama and hurt will ensue. My heart was a little hurt for Matt. he is having to watch the woman he loves with his brother.
Cora realizes who she married and had sex with on her wedding night by accident. She finds Matt’s wallet the following morning and is upset. Matt didn’t want to keep it from her but he did. So she runs. I don’t know what she is more upset about. The fact that she has sex with Matt her brother’s fiance or the fact that she liked it way too much. Damn it was hot and sexy and set the pages on fire. Now we have Jacob showing up. More drama…check.
I wasn’t a fan of Jacob. Not even a little bit. He needs to be there though or we have no story, and it is a great story to be told. I recommend this book to you all. Read it you won’t be sorry.
