I’ve been many things.
I’ve been a son and a stepbrother. An Army captain and a Vice President.
But only with him am I a prince. His little prince.
Only with Maxen and Greer does my world make sense, only between them can I find peace from the demons that haunt me. But men like me aren’t made to be happy. We don’t deserve it. And I should have known a love as sharp as ours could cut both ways.
My name is Embry Moore and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States…for now.
This is the story of an American Prince.
***This is the second book in the American Queen Trilogy***
I read the first book to this trilogy in late September 2016 and have been waiting for this book to come out from the moment that I reached the middle of the book. I love this author and will read just about everything that she writes, but this by far is my favorite series by Sierra Simone. If you follow me on Alpha Book Club, you will see that I declared American Queen my favorite book for 2016. If you have not read book one, American Queen, go right now and one click that hot, exciting book and read it so you will be all ready to read American Prince. Where American Queen’s focus was primarily about the relationship between Ash (Maxen) and Greer with an all-consuming cliffhanger ending, the second book is more about the relationship between Ash and Embry and the love that they have for Greer and each other. American Prince takes up where American Queen left us hanging. The story bounces back and forth from the time that Ash and Embry met on the battlefield in the Carpathian Mountains to the present day leaving us with yet another cliffhanger. (Please don’t make us wait too long for the third book.) I will not say much about the plot of this story because I don’t want to spoil the excitement for you. I will say that it is full of drama, betrayal and sexy situations. The chemistry between our three main characters is off the charts. I love their lustful relationship. Be careful you do not overheat your reading device. Also, make sure that it is fully charged before you begin reading. You won’t want to stop once you start reading. The pacing is fast and exciting. As mentioned, the story does bounce back and forth in time. It is also told from different points of view. The ending is crazy, and I really did not expect the turn that the storyline took. There is more character development in this book regarding Ash and Embry. We learn more about Ash’s past as well as the dynamics of Embry’s family and the part that they play in this amazing series. Will American Prince be my top pick for 2017? I am not sure. There are so many books still to be read, but I am pretty sure that this series will be ranked as one of my all time favorites.
