The heart’s a resilient beast
Eight months after the car crash that changed everything, FBI agent Aidan Talley is back at work. New department, new case and a new partner. Smart, athletic and handsome, Jameson Walker is twelve years his junior. Even if Aidan was ready to move on—and he’s not—Jamie is off-limits.
Jamie’s lusted after Aidan for three years, and the chance to work with San Francisco’s top agent directly is too good to pass up. Aidan is prickly—to put it mildly—but a growing cyber threat soon proves Jamie’s skills invaluable.
Jamie’s talents paint a target on his back, and Aidan is determined to protect him. But with hack after hack threatening a high-security biocontainment facility, time is running out to thwart a deadly terrorist attack. They’ll have to filter out distractions, on the case and in their partnership, to identify the real enemy, solve the case and save thousands of lives, including their own.
This is the first book in the Agents Irish and Whiskey series
Let me start with, oh my gosh. I loved this book. I started it and could not put it down. I was sucked in from the moment I started reading and was disappointed when it was over. The writing, the premise, the people were all great. The flow is a fast paced suspenseful novel. I enjoyed like I said and the entire thing just consumed me. I have never really read anything like this before so I wanted to try it. Now I am hooked.
Both men, Aiden Talley (Irish) and Jameson Walker (Whiskey) are FBI agents. They had some troubling things that happened to them. They are thrust together and what ensues is good. Irish lost his husband in a car accident that, he feels he could have done something to change the outcome. He feels responsible. He has been out of work for the last eight months recovering. Whiskey works the in the cave (cyber crimes) and he is still reeling about his break up, even though he brought in on himself. He is a former basketball player that was in the public eye and he didn’t want his partner to have to go through that. They both try to keep their distance from one another. There is so much chemistry between them. Even from years before Whiskey still finds Irish as sexy. He lusted after him from afar. Irish doesn’t want another attachment. He still loves his husband you can feel it. The feelings and chemistry are there no matter their fight and denial.
Now, again I can say I love these men. They are perfect for each other. They get one another. Their banter was fun to read at the same time they are trying to solve a case or two. There is romance, and suspense and the author was great at describing everything that I felt I could solve a case. Ok, maybe not, but you should read it and decide for yourself, at how good it is. I can say you will not be disappointed.
