Adam Miles is career-minded homicide detective who is always up for a good time with a woman. He’s the guy you call for a good time, not the guy you call for a relationship. Until he meets Ellis…
Ellis James is a career-focused FBI agent. She doesn’t have time for flirty, drop-dead gorgeous men who work in law enforcement, like Adam. She’s been there done that and has the emotional scars to prove it.
When a homicide case Adam and his partner are working on crosses paths with Ellis. Sparks fly. Misconceptions happen. Adam and Ellis partner up on a task force to catch a killer. A killer who is infatuated with Ellis, and will stop at nothing to have her.
As the passion intensifies between Adam and Ellis, one awful mistake will threaten to tear them apart, and put Ellis in harms way. They have to overcome their fear of relationships or destroy each other.
That Night was a thrilling 5 star read.
Adam is a homicide detective who loves the women without commitment. While on a stakeout he meets a call girl and she is absolutely beautiful. Why would a woman so beautiful sleep with men for money? Adam sees Ellis again when she is out with his brother and friends. Why would his brother have a call girl around him?
Ellis enjoyed messing with Adam and his friends at the bar. They have no idea that she is actually an FBI agent and his brother Mark’s partner.. Adam could feel something was off but he couldn’t quite figure it out until his brother is taken hostage during a robbery. Adam is shocked to find out who Mark’s partner was.
Ellis and Adam both had an instant connection when they saw each other. They end up working together on a case and eventually give into their attraction.
There is so much more to this great read. I really liked Ellis, she was a very strong character and Adam was a hot alpha male. There is suspense, murder, love and hot sex. I really liked the secondary characters, they added a great element to the story. This is my first read from Melissa Alexander and she really pulls you right in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her.
