His best friend’s little sister is all grown up … and ready to play in a whole new way.
Smith Hamilton has it all—he’s smart, good-looking and loaded. But he remembers a time when he had nothing and no one, so he’s not about to mess up, especially with his best friend’s little sister. That means keeping Evie at arm’s length … even though the once pesky little girl is now a buxom bombshell. A sexy blonde who pushes his self-control to the limit the night she crawls into bed with him.
Evie Reed knows she’s blessed—with an exclusive education, a family who loves her, and a new job managing social media for her family’s lingerie company. But she wants more, like a reason to wear the sexy lingerie herself. She has just the man in mind to help with that. She’s crushed on Smith forever. Surely tricking her way into his bed will force him to see her in a new, adult way.
Except that when Evie’s plan leads to disaster, she and Smith must decide—ignore the attraction sizzling between them, or become play mates and risk it all.
***4.5 Friends To Lover Stars***
I loved this book from word one to the very last. It was a great book. I was sucked in reading about Smith and Evie. This a light hearted, fun and easy read. Drama to a minimum and great flow. It starts off quick from the running gate and never loses steam.
They grew up together, however, there are quite a few years between them. Evie has had a major crush on Smith since she was a young teenager. He treated her with respect, not like she was a nuisance like her brother, Smith’s best friend Cullen.
They are brought together to work together to bring the lingerie company that Evie and her brother’s family owns. She has wanted Smith something awful. She has a plan. She wants him and to get him out of her system. Smith is afraid to cross the line. He doesn’t want to jeopardize his friendship with either one.
Let me say the chemistry between them is palpable. I adored Evie. She is a no-nonsense girl, that speaks her mind, and has no issue putting someone in their place. Smith is a smart sexy alpha businessman. Let me say that cover says it all. I also liked how it went into the past and we get glimpses of how they were together.
There was a moment where I thought, “oh no she isn’t”. She did. I liked this one better than the previous in the series.
This is book two in the Roommate series but can be read as a standalone. It is told from both Smith and Evie point of view and such a sweet, fun and sexy read. If that’s what you are in the mood for, give it a try you will enjoy it. Now I wait for the next installment.
