“Falling for the drag queen next door.
Mitch Dalton can’t stop fantasizing about his sexy and confident drag queen neighbor. He wants to make a move, but he’s had a lot less experience with men and isn’t sure Chi-Chi would be interested in a guy who’s never gone all the way—let alone a widower and struggling single father. And when Mitch’s child care falls through, he needs Chi-Chi’s help more than he needs a boyfriend.
Chi-Chi Ramirez has his own struggles: getting his degree one class at a time, working too many jobs and performing at a nightclub to make his Broadway dreams come true. Mitch’s offer of a nanny position is too good to pass up, even if seeing Mitch every day and not being able to touch him is torture. But when even a simple handshake feels like pure sex, soon touching is all either of them can think about.
A one-night stand, a quick fling—that’s all Chi-Chi can give if he’s going to leave town for New York City. But once they finally get a taste of each other, what if Mitch wants more?”
♡☆(¸.•Chi Chi Ramirez was fierce and fabulous and oh so adorable. Who could not love the drag queen who blew on the scene in book 2 Against the Rules? I was waiting for this book. And now I got to see what all the hype was about.
“Thank God, I thought I was the only normal one here.”
Chi chi didn’t know normal, but he sure knew attraction, and university professor Mitch had it in spades. The recently widowed father of two was a mess, but one chi chi would happily sort out. Unfortunately, Mitch needed a housekeeper, not a lover, and tag, it seemed Chi Chi was it.
Happy to let go of his tiresome life, making his plans to move to New York one step closer, Chi Chi willingly gave up his multiple jobs to care for the Dalton’s family. Now if only Mitch would view him in a better light and not judge him, things would be just fine.
With Chi Chi plans firm in his mind, will Mitch have what it takes to keep this drag queen in place, or will they crash and burn?
I winced a few times during my read. Time frame of Mitch’s wife’s death kept coming up. Yes it had been some time, but it felt as if it were recent every time someone spoke of her. I wanted to shake them and say, get over it already!!! But people have to realize, when a loved one is lost, time seems to stand still, especially if the person was young and lovable. And I swear, those in laws make me thank the heavens mine were my second parents. I have enjoyed this series and look forward to more. Maybe Chi Chi’s brother Vic’s story?”
