“With her BFF and ex-lover now happily engaged to the man of her dreams, Anuli Okoro is left to her own devices. She’s happy for her best friend. But she’s accepted that there can never be a fairy tale ending for her. She’s too damaged to ever fit with anyone else. So she’s getting on with her life the only way she knows how.
Until she pushes too far and lands herself in hot water. Or rather in cuffs and chains, captive to an annoyingly sexy man who sees the darkness inside her and isn’t fazed by it. Fighting him doesn’t work because he seems to know her too well. Seems to know how to make her beg for what he can give her.
But she’ll be damned if she’ll let another man control her. The only option is to escape his infernal contraptions and run, before he totally consumes her.”
Review: Captive was a hot 4 star read.
Anuli is trying to move forward and accept that she will never find her prince charming.
Anuli also has some demons from her past that she is dealing with.
Then she meets Tope, after a very hot and heavy evening he easily gets into her head. She needs to distance herself from him. Tope is a very dominant male and can see right through her.
There is something about him that is dark, scary and intriguing.
What kind of man agrees to kill another for you? What kind of man will commit murder for you?
When Anuli finds herself in hot water, will Tope and Bosco be able to save her?
This was a great suspenseful, and hot read. There are a few surprises and the secondary characters were great. If you like M/F/M you will like this read. The secondary characters were a great addition. We do get to see a HEA, which I was very happy with. Thank you Kiru Taye for a great read.
