Watching Jude’s cam show stirs desires Shawn’s always denied…
Shawn is adrift. Recently graduated, he’s stuck in a dead-end job that barely pays the bills. His girlfriend dumped him, his friends have moved on, and he’s still in Plymouth—going nowhere.
Jude is a student living in the same shared house. Out and proud, he’s everything Shawn’s been running from since he hit puberty. When Shawn discovers Jude works as a cam boy, he can’t resist the urge to watch one of his shows. It makes Shawn want things that scare him, yet his fascination forces him to confront his attraction.
Keen to explore his bicurious side, Shawn suggests they do a show together. Jude agrees, and things get complicated—and kinky—fast. But Jude isn’t looking to get involved with someone so deep in the closet. If Shawn’s going to get what he wants, he needs to find the courage to stop hiding from himself and be honest about who he is.
Sweet mother of God, this book was hot! Watching and Wanting is BY FAR the BEST OF THE SERIES. Jay has really outdone himself with this one and I can only hope for more of this sexy, steamy, kinky brand of passion in the rest of the series.
And this book wasn’t just erotica! The romantic chemistry between Jude and Shawn was off-the-charts. I was in love and completely invested in these two boys from page one and I SWEAR, the pages were turning themselves! I COULD NOT put this book down! A few pages in, I thought this book was good. Shawn was nice, it was great seeing all of the guys from the previous books again, but then Jay had to go and drop Jude in my lap.
Man… Jude. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Jude. He was out and proud and like hell was he letting anyone change that. His confidence boosted the temperature in the room by 10 degrees (no lie, ask Shawn) and he used that very special gift to pay his bills. Jude was a compassionate and attentive lover and 10/10 on the kink scale. Oh man, that boy had a dirty mind! His sexplorations with Shawn were steamy and intense!
And Shawn, the “straight” roommate, was another of my favorites of this series so far! He was closeted but not really in denial about his attraction to men, and Jude took all the advantage he could of his curiosity. He was also brave in a way that isn’t particularly typical of coming-out stories. The MC in coming-out stories is usually hesitant and sometimes afraid to ask for what they want to go get it. Shawn was not that character. Beyond his initial thoughts of being embarrassed for talking to Jude, Shawn was all game, 100%. And he and Jude tore the sheets up.
I definitely 100% recommend this book! Watching and Wanting was a fantastic addition to the Housemates series and some of the best work I’ve ever read by Jay.
