At the age of eighteen, Ana Walters lost her mother, her home, and her freedom. Within a week after her mother’s burial, she was sexually abused by someone close to her. A few weeks after the assault, she was still trapped. Then, one day, she managed to escape her living nightmare. With all the never-ending hurdles, will Ana be finally free of her demons?
Havoc was a shocking 5 star read.
All I can say is WTH did I just read. This is a very twisted story about betrayal of someone that you would think should be a protector.
Ana is grieving the loss of her mother. It was nice having her step brother there with her, to comfort her. Until….he changed into a monster.
Don’t get too close. It’s Dark Inside. It’s Where My Demons Hide.
Hurt and confused as to what is happening, she fears for her life. She is trying to think of ways to get away. When Logan shows up on her doorstep, he shows her kindness and offers to be there for her if she ever needed to talk. The time she spent with Logan made her feel good but she knew in her heart that it would never happen. Or could it?
After 18 years, I thought I had just made my first friend. Or, at least, I hoped.
The things that Doug did to Ana was heartbreaking. You felt like you were right there with her. I had several ugly cry moments. The ending of course left me wanting more. I need to know what is coming next. Will Ana finally get away?
I will warn that the scenes in this book are very detailed and disturbing. They could be triggers for some. Pamela Ann has drawn me right in with her writing. I like dark reads and she definitely delivered with this one. I can’t wait to read the next book.
