Jaime – Owner/Creator
I’m Jaime – I have been called, sweet, sassy, snarky and more…one thing for sure is I’m a bona-fide book junkie! I was born and raised in Yakima, Washington State – and then moved all the way across the country to Tampa, Florida – to be with my husband and his family. I am a Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse and currently in school working on my Master’s Degree in Nursing. I have been married for 15 years now and have one daughter who is the light of my life!
As mentioned, I have a severe addiction to books! In January of 2015 I decided that my addiction to books might be shared by others and that I might be able to help others find awesome books to read, thus Alpha Book Club was created! If I am not reading text books for school or working, you will usually find my tablet or Kindle not far away with an ARC, New Release, or even a previously read book…just calling my name!
When I started Alpha Book Club I had a huge addiction to Alpha Male’s and loved the Romance/Dark Erotic Romance Genres. Now I have switched, and am a total M/M genre addict! There are still a select group of authors who write hetero romance that I seek out and watch for new releases; but mostly you will find me reading gay romance. I have found some amazing people to work with on this blog and I really couldn’t do it without this awesome team! I welcome you to Alpha Book Club we are excited to have you here and hope you find a few great books to read!
“If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all.” –Oscar Wilde

Mel – I.T. Guru / Co-owner
I’m Mel, born and raised in Colorado and have lived in seven other cities, landing me back in Colorado again. I received my first ebook reader in 2004 as a gift from my employer at the time (a publishing house) and haven’t looked back since – at the time indie M/M books were the only ones available, and since then, not many other books have found their way onto my shelf. When I’m not reading, which is a very rare feat, I’m designing and coding websites and hiking/skiing, depending on the season.
I have been married to an Alpha male for over 27 years, the mother of five grown children. I was an addicted online gamer and now my addiction has changed to reading. My favorites are Romance and Erotic Romance as well as Science Fiction, Paranormal, Mysteries and Suspense books. Besides reading and being a wife and mother, I also care for children other than my own. I also work in a doctor’s office. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I attended Berkeley College in NYC.
“I never read a book that wasn’t better than the movie.”
Hi, I’m Michelle, I work as an Administrative Assistant for CFO at my local hospital, along with waitressing a couple of nights a week. I also volunteer for Eyecon Conventions 2-3 times a year: we work with stars from The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Teen Wolf, and One Tree Hill. I also have a slight book addiction, I love to help pimp and support authors as much as I can. My most favorite reads are dark erotic, MC, BDSM and Bad boy Rockers.
How to best describe myself hmm… Goofy, geeky, paparazzi stalking, food enthusiast and oh yeah! Just an open minded individual who loves to read! I’ll read anything regardless of genre especially if the summary sounds interesting. Nothing beats reading a well woven story filled with engrossing characters. I tend to prefer books rich in dialogue. I rarely come across talented writers that write in the “first person” and do it well. Whenever I’m lucky to stumble on such talent, I tend to DEVOUR everything that author writes!
MM is currently my favorite genre and I read it exclusively (with the exception of a couple MF series’ I’ve been reading for 7 plus years). I also love making friends and meeting people who try to experience everything their hearts desire before life passes them bye. The hubby and I, armed with our two rug rats always make it a priority to experience anything interesting that grabs our attention or that of our two girls.
Can you imagine how depressing life would be if we didn’t have our favorite authors writing great stories for us to lose ourselves in for a few hours? This is why I write reviews. Hopefully my reviews will help you find your next favorite book 🙂
Hi. I’m Cee Brown. Born and raised in the tropical islands of The Bahamas. At 45 years of age, I am a Registered Nurse, a wife of almost 20 years and mother of two. My twitter account says it all. “I am human…I am an ally…but most of all, I am an avid reader and lover of all things electronic.”
Over the past few years, my love of reading has encompassed as many of the LGBT authors as I can and I am fond of the paranormal. I am addicted to the written words and just can’t get enough. My goal is to one day become an editor, and then I woke up. No, my goal is to continue and finish my Nursing to the highest level whilst reading as many books as I can.
I am not perfect, but I aspire to be the best I can be while reading as many books that I can get my hands on.

Hi there, my name is JoAnna. I have been happily married for 23 years. I have 2 grown children, a daughter 22 and son 19. I live in Southern California and have my whole life. I would like to leave California and move to Washington state. I love to read, and the rain. I have a few slight obsessions reading, hockey (best sport there is) David Beckham, skulls and firemen. My obsessions rank equally and my husband and kids don’t mind. Though they do think I am a bit crazy sometimes.
I have learned when you are having a bad day you can pick up a book and escape to somewhere else you would rather be. I have been employed at my job for 15 years. I love meeting new people every day.
My book preference is romance in MC, Mob, and bad boy rockstars. Who am I kidding I love all bad boys. Put those in a M/M genre setting and you have the BEST BOOK EVER. My kindle has over 6000 books and I have an actual paperback collection as well. I am excited to share my love with reading with others.
Hi..My name is Jodi. I was born and raised most of my younger years in New York. My family moved to Monmouth County, New Jersey when I was 13 and I have lived here ever since. We moved here in the summer so I didn’t get a chance to make friends until high school started. I found myself falling in love with reading and that time and haven’t stopped since. I used to read the hardy boys and judy blume were my favorites. Since I am now married for 15 years and mother of 2 children , ages 7 and 12, I find myself drawn to reading more often now a days. You can now find me reading while I wait to pick up my kids from school or activities.
I will really read anything from paranormal to historical but find myself leaning towards LGBT lately. I am a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story with some hot men rolled in.
I am so glad to have found Alpha Book Club where I get to read all the books I want and review them to help authors reach more people.
Hi, I’m Annie! I’ve been fortunate to live and travel a number of places. I grew up in the Southwest, lived in England for a few years, and now consider Eastern Washington my home. My husband of 13 years is in the military and we have two young children. I’m currently staying at home, but my educational and career background is veterinary science and animal behavior. I love the outdoors and traveling, especially to places off the beaten path. I’m also a big sports fan- particularly hockey, soccer, and football.
I have been an avid reader since kindergarten. I grew up in a rural area so books were often the most reliable entertainment and company, and I cannot remember a time I didn’t read before falling asleep. As an adult, I read mostly mysteries and forensic crime fiction, occasionally trying different genres based on recommendations. In 2012, a friend suggested I read Outlander and I’ve been hooked on romances since. I’m a sucker for wits and banter in books. I love to read about strong characters who expose their vulnerabilities and find their happiness. I like variety and read many subgenres to keep things fresh. Mostly I want to feel- happiness, sadness, love, fear, lust, silliness, anxiety, I’ll take any of it.
Michaelene – Reviewer
Hi, I’m Michaelene! I’m a librarian, and despite what you make think, no, I do not get to read all day. That’s why I’m here. To get my fix!
When I don’t have my head buried in a book, I have my head bent over a notebook instead, writing. I’m a huge historical romance fan, Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre having started it all. I’ll read anything as long as it has romance! I have a weakness for nerdy characters full of surprises, misplaced gentry and their rabble-rousing heroines, and some bad boys and their sweet talkin’ ways thrown in for good measure.
Lulu – Reviewer
Hi my name is Lulu. I am 27 years old and I am a registered Nurse.
I live in England with my husband and our beloved German Shepherd Loki (yes he is named after the comic book character – my husband is a comic book geek!).
Aside from nursing my two passions in life are long distance running and reading, I sometimes combine the two with audiobooks!.
I fell in love with romance books in my teenage years when I read Pride and Prejudice but I have enjoyed many different genres over the years but these last few years I have particularly enjoyed MM romance and I love a good MM romance thriller!
“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book!” — Caroline Bingley, Pride and Prejudice
Megan – Reviewer
Hi, my name’s Jordan! I grew up in the spacious midwest, always moving around with my family. I currently live in Alaska and study Dietetics & Nutrition. I fell in love with books at an early age, and up until recently exclusively read historical fiction/YA adventure and some fanfiction. I’ve recently fallen into the deep, dark hole of MM Romance and oh, what a wonderful place to be! I now almost exclusively read MM and always have my kindle within reach. My favorite reads would probably be contemporary romance or historical fiction and anything with BDSM undertones (or just straight up in your face – I’m not picky). I love complex characters with tragic backstories, conflicting feelings, and a little sass to shake things up.
Hi there, my name is Janet. I’m a 26 year old student living in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Other than studying I occupy my time singing and reading as much as I can. You will never find me going anywhere without my kindle. Some people even call it my bible. I have always loved to be able to escape from real life into a world full of magic and love, which is why I love reading paranormal and fantasy books, especially if there’s a lot of action going on. I can probably read about anything at least once, since I like to think I’m pretty open minded. As long as there is love, I am happy.
Hi guys! My names Sarah and I’m 23. I live in Scotland, in a really small town close to Glasgow. I’ve loved reading for as long as I can remember, everyone who knows me knows that I’m usually hidden away somewhere with a cup of tea and my Kindle, I hardly ever go anywhere without it. I read a mixture of genres and although I do mainly read M/M these days, if a book catches my eye I’m going to read it regardless to what kind of couple pairing it is. I’ve got a small group of favourite authors that I religiously follow and will read no matter what the subject matter but my favourite thing is reading new work by authors I’ve never read before.
Apart from reading, unfortunately there isn’t much else interesting to say about me. I’m your regular run of the mill 23 year old who would rather be at home reading a book than out partying.
I’ve got a tattoo on my left forearm that has a stack of books and below it the phrase “Were all stories in the end”. This is my life motto, live your life the way you want to be remembered.
Hi everyone, I am Deborah Jones a passionate reader of all things. I am an Army wife and mother of 3 beautiful kids. I am also teacher of Mathematics but you would think with the way I read I would be teaching literature. I love all things numbers and books and as I tell my kids and students you will need both when you are out in the real world. Cooking and being in the kitchen is one of my happy places. I love the smell of baked goods and dinner cooking. I also take my kids to the library all the time because I still love the smell of opening a book. I love bookstores that carry old books because you get this feeling that the owner loves books just as much as you. A quote I tell my kids when they ask why I read so much, “I read because books were my safe place when I was growing up and they would take me into another world”.
