— There is freedom in blacking boots for the right man. —
Jake. Kings of Hell MC Prospect. Obedient. Desperate for approval.
Vars. Dominant. Stern. Undead.
Jake is itching to become a patched member of the Kings of Hell MC.
For two years he’s toiled as the only prospect. So when a new guy swans in and thinks he’ll get a patch in no time just because he’s got friends in high places, Jake is there to stand in his way.
Only that the guy is older, more experienced, drives a Harley, and has the kind of boots Jake craves to lick.
But he won’t.
Because he only fucks patches.
Vars is ready to find a new home in the Kings of Hell MC after a messy relationship led him straight to hell. In comparison, the pretty, blue-eyed prospect could be just the pleasant rebound he needs.
The boy is a brat, but that could be amended with a firm hand and a gag.
If only Jake was ready to admit to his submissive needs, Vars would gladly take him under his wing.
That is, until he finds out something inhuman resides inside of Jake.
Vars didn’t cheat death only to call out to it again.
But stuck together in one room, keeping each other’s secrets, they might just have to become allies, no matter how unwilling. Because if there is something Vars can’t resist, it’s a boy with pleading eyes.
“You are mine now, boy. This room is soundproof. No one will hear you scream.”
“Yes, sir. My body is yours.”
WARNING: This story contains scenes of violence, offensive language, and morally ambiguous characters.
On Your Knees, Prospect is book three in the fantastic series, Kings of Hell MC, by authors K.A. Merikan. This is not a standalone book and should be read as part of the series, in order, to best enjoy the unfolding events and plot carryovers. This book takes us deeper into the demonic forces that dwell both inside and outside the Kings of Hell’s clubhouse. While there is some light shed on previous riddles that were unsolved, more are unearthed keeping the plot fresh and exciting! Additionally,we get to watch a new couple fall in love, Jake & Vars, while catching up with previous couples we already love! It’s a perfect compilation of the new and old, the good and the bad, and of course the wicked and … well, the devilish! 😉
It’s no secret that I adore the writing of K.A. Merikan. Together these two authors create some of the most unique, wickedly delicious, and scorching hot stories. I always know when I start a new book from them I will be fully entertained and locked into their world, from page one to the end, their stories are the type you can’t put down! This book was no exception! I devoured this book once I was able to read it (school got in the way). I had to know what would happen next and this kept up through the end of the story. I say through because there is a special treat for everyone after the words “the end” so don’t forget to look for it!
Now, about Jake and Vars. Where do I begin? I refuse to spoil any part of this story. Nope. Not going to happen. I do have to say that Jake goes through a lot in this book, we really get to see a huge amount of character development for him, and some of that has to do with the new prospect, Vars. Vars is brought in via Magpie and is a prospect (fast-track) who will be doing the books for the MC club. He is also the man who both drives Jake mad and makes him go crazy with lust. He is also undead. Yeah, I know…makes ya go hmmmm! First, let’s just say Jake isn’t all that happy that another prospect is there and that they are not on the same level, or rather that Jake isn’t above him, in seniority. It causes Jake to have a few moments of childish behavior. However, these two do eventually get on the same page and once that pesky jelousy is removed… these two are fuckin’ hot as hell together. It’s not a long angsty wait either so don’t fret, the wait while the guys figure it out is well worth it!
Vars unlocks desires in Jake that he either didn’t understand or acknowledge before — once they are out though, it’s game on!
Since this is a K.A. Merikan story don’t make the mistake of thinking that once these two get along it’s all roses and champagne. Hell to the No! There is a lot going on in this story and a free-ride to a HEA for Vars and Jake is just not going to happen! You know what they say though, the harder you work for something the more you will enjoy it. Well, it applies here too!
So, make sure you bring a cool drink and get ready for this installment of The Kings of Hell MC to turn up the heat (puns intended).

Title: 63 Days Later: A Holiday Tail
Author: Adrienne Wilder
Series: A Wild Novella
Publisher: Self- Published
Release Date: December 2, 2017
Genre(s): M/M Holiday Romance
Page Count: 90 Pages
Heat Level: 5 flames out of 5
Rating: 5 stars out of 5
63 Days later takes place after the novel WILD. This can be read as a stand alone story.
However, it might be more enjoyable if you read WILD first.
Trigger Warning: Christmas music, trees, presents, and all around holiday cheer.
It’s been almost two years since Keegan and August escaped the Alaskan wilderness, and they finally get to celebrate their very first Christmas together.
But their plans of peace and quiet get turned upside down when Santa leaves more than just presents under the tree.
When I saw that this book existed everything else stopped. I love Keegan & August and catching up with them was a perfect little treat! This story takes place approximately 2 years after Keegan & August left their wild Alaska behind and have now made a home in Vermont. Everything is going well for these guys and they are getting ready to celebrate Christmas. One morning there is something under the tree that is a complete surprise…it seems Daisey has been keeping a secret from her Dads.
Once the secret is out these guys are in for a lot of late nights and sharp little teeth! I loved it! I mean who doesn’t love a cute little puppy, or eight, wolf-hybrid pups as it may be. August goes into full daddy mode. Keegan, although he growls a lot about it, he would do anything for August – including tackle a pet store during the holiday season for everything a newborn (puppy) needs (and lots of what they don’t need).
The romance in this book is syrupy sweet and it’s awesome! These guys deserve their HEA and they have not forgotten how to tear up the sheets. Hot. As. Hell. Trust me they leave nothing to the imagination!
Overall, 5 scorchin’ hot stars and a great holiday romance with two of my favorite guys!

Title: Wheels Up
Author: Annabeth Albert
Series: Out of Uniform, #4

Their love is forbidden, but their hearts aren’t listening to rules and regulations.
Lieutenant Dustin Strauss is a reformed man. No longer a twentysomething hell-raiser, he’s his SEAL team’s new XO-and a man with a secret. Or seven. He’s kept his bisexual identity under wraps for years, along with his kinky side and a fondness for the military-themed semianonymous hookup website Joe4Joe. His latest chat buddy is more than a sexy online distraction-they’re taking their very not-safe-for-work relationship into real time.
Petty Officer Wes Lowe has a smart mouth, a take-charge attitude and an uncanny ability for making things go boom. The life of an enlisted man isn’t always enough to satisfy him, but one wild, no-questions-asked weekend with his online love comes close. When a transfer order comes in, Wes feels ready and centered. He’ll make a good impression on his new SEAL team and keep his growing feelings for Dustin on the down low.
But as they log more time online and some very real emotions surface, Dustin and Wes struggle to pretend they’re just a harmless fling. And when his commander introduces Dustin to his team’s newest member, they’re in for the shock of a lifetime and a crushing disappointment: their difference in ranks means even a friendship without sexual contact could end their navy careers for good.
With their hearts on the line, Dustin and Wes may not survive their next mission, let alone find a way toward a future together.
I have been wanting Dustin’s story since book one of this series and I am over the moon happy with how it turned out!! Imagine if you will the combination of: 2 Navy SEALs who have been chatting online, both of them leaving details out regarding their lives and bending the truth just a little. The chemistry and sexual release between them is safe and will never impact their real lives. They are from two different worlds. After a chance last minute meeting in D.C. they go their separate ways, sadly never anticipating to see each other again.
Their worlds collide and Dustin, the XO of a SEAL team from Coronado Beach Naval Base, meets his new transferred subordinate, enlisted Petty Officer, Wes Lowe. The man he has been having raunchy internet and phone sex with for months. The man who he met up with a month earlier in D.C. – if this gets out, Dustin could be court marshalled.
Now these two have to figure out how to stop being attracted to each other, stop needing each other, stop depending on one another — stop it all. If they don’t they risk more than their hearts.
Can they walk away from each other and forget the amazing chemistry and connection they have? Will they give in to temptation and put it all on the line? How will Dustin explain to his family and friends that not only is he bisexual but he is attracted to a subordinate. Is it even worth it to think about?
This book is full of emotion! Dustin was torn up through this book, he wants to do what is right, but his heart is yearning and wants what it wants. Then Wes, he is torn between needing the Navy and needing to be with his family all while trying to figure out how to stop loving Dustin. Neither of them can let their team or peers know what is going on and this stress starts to impact them as soldiers.
I wasn’t sure how Ms. Albert was going to get these guys to their HEA — but I had faith that she would make it all work out. So yes, it’s a very emotional ride but our guys do get their HEA ending — which they both deserve!
I loved seeing the characters from previous books as their stories progressed. It was like visiting old friends!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! Ms. Albert has written another outstanding story to add to this amazing series! I would recommend the entire series to anyone who enjoy’s emotional, sexy, angsty, and completely satisfying romance stories!

Good Versus Evil
Heaven & Hell
Pleasure & Pain
This book will take you on a journey and leave you begging for more… it’s deviant, thrilling, erotic, twisted, and brings new meaning to masochist.
When everything you think you know about Heaven & Hell is totally wrong. This story follows several different characters as they try to stop The Almighty from triggering the end of the world. There is a lot of action, a lot of sex, and multiple storylines going on. Questions are left unanswered and this is book one of a new series, so of course we now wait for book two. I am hopeful that book two will keep building these brilliant and unique characters and showing us more facets of their personalities. As it is, this storyline, the world-building, and the characters worked together to keep me totally entertained. I really don’t want to spoil any of this story so I am going to leave it at this…you will be entertained!
Take a chance on this #Rogue work, you may find you enjoy something different!

Wide-eyed and innocent, you stumbled into my world, never knowing the danger that lurked within. The Wolfe’s Den is no place for a little lamb, but you came anyway, and from the moment you stepped inside, you were mine.
In my life there are no happy accidents. Every move is carefully orchestrated. Every situation premeditated. That’s what makes the hunt so intoxicating.
What you need, I become.
What you crave, I will give.
Except the one thing you desire above all else—love.
Everything I told you is true—I’m not a good man, but you choose what you want to hear.
You shouldn’t have come that night. Maybe then you’d be safe. But it’s too late now.
I want you because you remind me of him. I need you to give me back what I lost.
Warning: This is not a love story. It is not a romance. This is an obsessive stalker lust story that contains darker themes that may serve as a trigger to some readers. Shiver is a standalone novel.
Naive and Curious these are the perfect traits to attract deviant and dominant Salvatore Wolfe. When Salvatore first sees Jesse at his sex club, The Den, he feels like he is looking into the past. He is drawn to Jesse, he wants Jesse…he wants to chase this new toy, a sweet, innocent, pure as snow lamb – a lamb, who he wants to corrupt and Dominate. He wants to OWN Jesse. Salvatore, longs for the thrill of the hunt, the chase, the capture and he wants to destroy Jesse’s soul while leaving him longing for more.
Here is the thing. I am OKAY with Salvatore Wolfe! He knows he is fucked up. He admits it several times. He warns Jesse to Run. But Jesse just doesn’t listen and then when it gets to real, to sinister, he can’t handle it.
There was some minor scenes of delicious darkness in this story. Was it as twisted as it has been proclaimed to be? Heck No. In-fact, just when it started getting good and the real Wolfe comes out to play…the authors pull back! Why?!?! If you are going to write a deviant book…go for it! Don’t get scared and stop halfway!!
As this book stands, I was left feeling totally let down. Again, some people’s minds can’t go to the depraved depths of Dark Romance…that’s okay. I just felt like this book was played up to be a dark thriller and It didn’t feel that way to me. I would have loved to see Jesse dive a little deeper into Wolfe’s world —
To me this story was not Dark. It was a book with a Billionaire who has a sad backstory likes his to get his link on, is a Dominant for sure; The other character is a typical naive counterpart to be corrupted by the big, bad Wolfe.
It had a lot of similarities to other Billionaire Dom stories who fall for the innocent, naive, counterpart (male or female) – so, a lot of the story felt like previous reads.

“This is not the night you die.”
After years of working for a loan shark, Robert is done with blood and violence. All he has to show for it is a bag of money and a lifetime of regrets. There’s no other way out of his line of work than in a body bag.
So Robert decides to die.
But on the night he chooses to seal his own fate, destiny offers him a chance at redemption. When Robert saves a handsome young escort from a terrible death, he has no idea he is setting in motion much more than one last attempt at proving that inside the hardened shell, he is a decent human being.
Charming, quick-witted, and full of smiles, Nathan is all Robert could dream of. He’s also ready to fall into the arms of his gruff protector. Robert, on the other hand, has never been with a man and will first need to fight his own demons if he is to accept that his whole being wants to make Nathan his.
With his former boss hunting them both, time is ticking, and Robert might just not get the chance to decide before it’s too late. More importantly though, Robert will stop at nothing to protect the man who’s made him feel alive again, the man who is the only thing between him and the abyss.
“I never had to think much about death before, but I did yesterday. I thought I would die. In a hole. Covered with dirt. Suffocate underground.
But then you saved me.”
WARNING: This story contains scenes of violence, torture, mentions of suicide, offensive language, morally ambiguous characters, homophobia and homophobic language
K.A. Merikan has done it again! We Met In Death is a deliciously deviant, sexy, dark, twisted romance that is perfectly gripping and highly entertaining! This writing duo never lets me down when I want UNIQUE, DARK, GRITTY, SEXY, MYSTERY, PERFECT ANTI-HERO CHARACTERS and more…all I have to do is open up a K.A. Merikan book and I am set!
The setup to this story is so unique and the setting and staging of the opening to the book and characters was so vivid, I felt like I was right there with the characters. Very rarely do authors paint such a vivid picture and take time to bring the reader into the setting, it reminded me of a gothic romance.
“It was a good night to die.
The full moon above was a blurry ball of light, very much visible even in the fog that flooded the old cemetery. Its glow dispersed in the damp air, creating what looked like opaque glass walls that followed Robert as he rambled between tombstones with a bottle of whiskey in hand. Trees stretched their arms above him, some boldly black against the sinewy blue, the ones farther away only a fraction darker than the backdrop of colored air. A vast landscape surrounded him , yet Robert couldn’t see much of it, confined to what was within a few paces, as if he were walking the world with ghosts already.”…
“The moonlight spilled over the gravestones like milk, allowing Robert to admire each marble angel or cross as if this were a gallery, not the final resting place of so many people. Too bad he wouldn’t be getting one of those. Oh, well. Dying wasn’t all about pretty graves.”
The MC in this story, Robert & Nathan, are both well-developed and multi-faceted. Robert, he’s a tormented person and haunted by life choices and responsibilities not to mention totally closeted and cutoff from any personal connections. Then there is Nathan. Nathan who is trying to survive using his body in trade, with hopes for a future where he can stand on his own; he’s thrown into a world of crime, death, and fear. The person he has to rely on to survive very well could be the one to kill him in the end. Death and the will to survive throw these two men together – lust, quick thinking, and base instincts keep them alive — can these two get a happy ending when their relationship is soaked in blood?
“I know. I’m not a nice person. I’ve done many bad things. But you make me want to be a better man. You’re not just handsome. You make me feel like I might still do something good with my life.”
I.Loved.This.Book! Having found this writing duo when I read their Guns ‘n Boys series, I know how twisted and dark these two can be and how much they can put their characters through. I am always eager to see where they will take me with each new story. I admit that I always feel slightly bipolar when I read one of Merikan’s books because my emotions are all over the place! By the end of each Merikan book I am usually left with a book-hangover of epic proportions, this story was no exception.
The chemistry in this story was pretty steamy. Although there was some issues in the beginning with Robert and his coming to terms, the lust and sexual tension was always there between Robert & Nathan. That UST just ramped up the heat between these two and made their sexual encounters all the better!
I highly recommend this book, especially if you are a fan of dark, gritty, and raw romance ~ you will love, We Met In Death.

I don’t want Jason Vega.
Not at all.
It’s the worst idea ever.
Jason is handsome. Smart. Dangerous. Hot.
He’s goddamn gorgeous—but he’s also sleeping on the street, hanging out with the local biker gang and selling his body for a living.
Our lives, our paths couldn’t be further apart. I’m crawling toward the light, while he’s falling into the dark.
But it doesn’t matter how different we are, or what logic dictates.
I really shouldn’t want Jason Vega—but I just can’t stop.
He’s under my skin, and sinking deeper…
This review is not done in my typical style. I have always promised to be honest when reviewing a book, and the best way for me to be honest about this book is to show you my reactions while I was reading. I have included my goodreads updates I posted during my reading.
I have multiple issues with this book. I cannot believe some of the things that occurred t/o this story.
If you read this review It’s going to have spoilers…so, be warned!
This book needs Trigger Warnings There is drugging, noncon/dubcon, rape, and violence. In addition, Rayne is a predator. I mean, he gets turned on when the man he is attracted to is covered in blood and other people’s cum. He continues to seek Jason out for sex when he knows Jason is selling his body to survive. I guess he feels he isn’t as bad as other John’s because he takes him to his warm apartment, let’s Jason Shower, and feeds him? He is even worse in my mind…[Update: As of 10/9/17 – there are trigger warnings posted in the blurb on Goodreads.]
This is going to recount my experience as I read this book…
28% – “This book is just pissing me off — the back and forth with no progress is losing my attention quickly.”
I kept going…
57.0% “This must be this author’s first attempt at M/M — There are some things happening in this book that are just nasty. I am sorry – maybe I place to much focus on hygiene — but pulling a “hooker” off the street, who is bloody, cum stained, vomit stained, and sleeping behind a dumpster and can’t even stay awake…and kissing him, making out with him..is NOT sexy. Oh and bloody noses and mouth..come on!!! But, they make sure to wear condoms..so I guess that saves them? Like has this author heard of HEP C and HIV? What about common sense.. would you really make out with a man who just got done sucking off another John?? He is actively selling himself and we are suppose to be okay with Raine sucking face and other things? I’m sorry.. no!!”
72.0% “Why the hell did I continue reading this..now we have some mafia and drug cartel drama – and a MC gang. Oh, and Ocean & Rayne’s dad is some kind of gangsta who is coming after is sons. IDK maybe that’s explained in other books, but it seems stupid right now..out of nowhere.”
90% – “Jason has totally changed his tune now. Umm, okay. He has all his “gang” moved away I guess. So now he is falling in love too?!?”
99% “Oh HELL No! She went there! BAREBACKING with a former rentboy, 3 months after he stopped selling his body. Ummm..sure, because he had ONE clean test. FFS. I.just.can’t. The nurse in me is dying.”
I feel like this book set the genre back 10 years….
1.5 star rounding down to 1 star…a generous one star!
On a positive note…the cover is sexy!

Oskar used to be Marco’s best friend. His everything. His sunshine yellow.
But that was before. Before Marco stopped being a hot jock. Before he learned to live with scars and pain. And before Oskar tore their friendship apart.
Now the boy next door has returned home, determined to rekindle his friendship with Marco, and Marco’s more afraid than ever. Afraid of getting hurt. Afraid of being humiliated.
Afraid of falling in love.
Can Oskar find a way through Marco’s fear, back into his heart?
True Colors is an enemies to lovers, boy next door, first time, slow burn M/M romance with a generous helping of UST. This no-cliffhanger, HEA book can be read as a standalone.
Anyta Sunday has written a beautiful story, driven by unique – yet realistic character’s who have a story to be told. This story is one of my favorite types, enemies to lovers with a slow burn that sets the pages smoldering and a virgin MC! It’s the trifecta of perfection!! While this book is part of a series, I was able to enjoy as a standalone without reading book one in the series.
The overall theme of this story is forgiveness. When you have a deep friendship and there is a horrific betrayal can you ever forgive the transgression and get back to where you began? Is the friendship salvageable? What if you develop feelings for the person who hurt you the most? These are all things that Marco has to deal with and come to terms with throughout this book. There is a centralized feeling of longing to have his best friend back, being scared and humiliated, falling in love, and letting go of the past to have a future together. This is not an easy road and this author knows how to turn up the angst – so be prepared!
I really enjoyed this story and although it is my first book by this author I have a feeling I will be looking for more of her work in the future.
