I’m good enough to protect her.
I’m good enough to die for her.
But, I’m not good enough to touch her?
I may be the Vice President of the Ravens Ruin MC, but her brother, the President, has given all of us orders that she’s off-limits.
It’s for the best, really.
The demons in my past love to play with a pretty little girl like her.
5 Amazingly Dark, Gritty, Love Worth Fighting For Stars
First things first. Superbly written MC life. Excellent job Ms. James.
This is book two in The Ravens Ruins MC. It can be read as a standalone but I would read book one just so you can get a feel for the characters. Now, I have read lots of books by Marie James and have loved them all. This one I love as well but is altogether different. It is dark. It is gritty, raw and feels real. To me, this one depicts what I believe a real MC would be. Take no prisoners and show no mercy. Even if you are club member and break the rules. Yes, see what I mean? Different. They are mean, tough and brutal. This Luck Of the Draw is filled with life or death choices at every turn. Any action taken can make you end up dead. I was so invested that when I started this book my family was up and just chilling. I had to put it down until when my family went to bed. I needed quiet. This book needed my undivided attention. I was so drawn that when I started I kept saying one more page. Then it was let me finish this chapter. Well, that went on until I was completely done. Then BAM!!! I now need the next book because it was left on a cliffhanger that leads us to the next story or couple you could say.
I don’t know where to begin. I remember from book one the energy and the charge between Briar and Molly. There is so much sexual tension right now it was palpable.
Briar is the VP of the club and best friends with the President, Lynch and another club member, TJ. Both are the brothers of Molly. So you see Molly is off limits. Lets also not forget her age. There is an eleven-year difference between them. Then add in that both Lynch and TJ have told every member plus prospect that Molly is completely off limits in general.
Molly has been raised in this MC and she knows how it works. She and her best friend Zoe are here. I like Molly she is a good girl who makes a dumb choice at the beginning that has some damage to it.
This book on the main characters are given so many chances and do nothing with it. Not in the sense you think I am saying. Lack of communication her on both Briar and Molly. I loved the characters. I loved their journey and the fight for what they want. No matter what happened. There are times when I wanted to reach in and smack Lynch and TJ. Though I was a bigger fan of TJ. He is a sick bastard. Zoe was an ok friend and I loved the doctor where Molly got her job. Such a likable character. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. This one as I said was dark, but I think the next one is going to be worse. I CAN’T WAIT!!!
